![]() Happy New Year Brother Knights! I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday. We are starting out the new year on the right path with five(5) new members receiving their 2nd Degree or Formation: Edmond Kugblenu, Andy Crabtree, Michael Lutz, Juan Carlos Gomez, and Ismael Negrete. Vivat Jesus! On Saturday, Jan. 6th, many of us gathered at Faris and Sana Auro's home for the annual Epiphany Party. It was a fun time with delicious food; not the least was a delicious roast prepared by Br. Faris Auro. Everyone had a great time playing the gift exchange. Guys and Gals- It's time to get ready for our 50s Sock Hop/Happy Days Dance, February 10th( Saturday) from 6-10 pm. We are teaming up with the Youth Ministry Group to put on a 50s style dance with a real hamburger joint serving all the burgers, hot dogs and fries you can eat. There will even be an Ice Cream Parlor! Dance and Hula Hoop contests, prizes and even "Wolfman Jack" as our DJ! Tickets are now on sale for ONLY $15.00/ person at the kiosk outside church on the weekends and at the Parish office during the week. Tickets can also be bought online on this website. Come to 6th & Laurel in Balboa Park on January 20, 2018 from 8:30am to 12:00pm. This year we are honored to welcome Bishop McElroy, Bishop Dolan and Rev. Bernardo Lara amongst our speakers. Your presence is crucial to make this family-friendly event a success.- www.sandiegowalkforlife.org On Saturday, Jan. 13th we again trekked down to Tecate, Mexico to feed the hungry orphans, nuns and volunteers and to drop off presents as the children had a Feliz Navidad with plenty of Christmas presents to tear open. On Sunday, January 14th, we had six(6) members receive their 3rd or Knighthood Degree: Barry Coleman, Anthony Opalek, Ismael Negrete, Michael Todd Prida, Michael Lutz and Juan Carlos Gomez. Congrats brother Knights! In the month of February we have a couple of other event coming besides the 50s Sock Hop on Feb. 10th. On February 16th, we start our Lenten Fish Dinners every Friday in Prendergast Hall at 5 pm to 6:30 pm for a total of five dinners. On February 17th -Saturday, our Council will host a San Diego Chapter meeting in Prendergast Hall at 10 am. Included will be a continental breakfast. On that same day, there will be a 4th Degree exemplification at the Town & Country Resort Hotel in Mission Valley. Any members who would like to receive this degree, please see Br. I am sure all of you brothers will work together as you've done so well throughout this Columbian year. Anyone who still needs to make their second or third degree, please let me know and I will let you know when the next ceremonies are happening and get you to them. Remember, to wear your K of C blue shirts (button-down or polo) and name tags/plates at church and if you haven't been to a meeting in a while-please do. we'd like to see you!
