Grand Knight's Message for August 2015 by Pat Esquibel

Worthy Brothers All:
 
            August has been and will continue to be an exciting month for us. The Knights assisted the Vacation Bible School (VBS) by Barbecuing hamburgers and hot dogs for over 250 VBS students and instructors. A big thank you to Paul Melcher for taking the lead and many thanks to those brothers that helped cook all those burgers and dogs: John Martin, Vince Garra, Paul Michael, Shawn Reidy, Ed Reidy and Faris Auro.
                 
       Coming up August 29th is Fr. Devdas' installation with Bishop McElroy presiding and the Summer Night Event Barbecue. We will have our Knights canopy at this event and we will need volunteers to assist with selling tickets and Form 100's. I hope to see you all there.
    As always, please remember to wear your Knights of Columbus "name plate" to mass. This identifies you as a Knight and may draw interest in new membership. Let's all continue to work together in the spirit of Fr. Michael J. McGivney with Charity, Unity, and Fraternity!
       If you have not been to a meeting in a while, plan on attending this Thursday and reacquaint yourself with your brothers and what is currently being planned in your council. I hope to see you this week.
