Worthy Brother Knights:
As we come to a close for this calendar year, I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks for your continued support and all your donated hours of volunteer work for our parish, our community, and our fellow Knights and families. Your work does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by many.
Please take time to welcome our new brother, Scott Kleinhesselink, who completed his 1st Degree on December 9th.
Brothers Deacon Jose Luis Del Rio and Ernie McAbee completed their 2nd Degrees on December 7th. Welcome Brothers and Congratulations!
The next 3rd Degree will be held on January 16th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Santee.
We just completed our annual Turkey Dinner and it was another great success. Our Brothers cooked delicious Turkey, Ham, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Soup, and fed nearly 200 people. All you brothers who volunteered to cook, prep and serve our community of brothers and parishioners were great. Nothing but smiles and compliments all evening. Everyone had plenty to eat and nobody left the event hungry!
Big thank you to all who volunteered to assemble bikes
for the Common Ground and Bikes for Kids.
On Tuesday December 8 that Casa De Oro Elementary
and Tuesday, December 15th at La Presa Elementary,
to build 100 bikes each night. If you have not seen the joy of a child receiving one of these bikes, please ensure you watch the video.
Next week is Christmas, remember to Keep Christ in Christmas! Enjoy the day with your family and friends, and have a wonderful and blessed Christmas Day.
As always, please remember to wear your Knights of Columbus "name plate" to mass. Do you know a Catholic Gentleman that is 18 years or older? Enrich his life and give him a great Christmas gift of membership in the Knights. Let's all continue to work together in the spirit of Fr. Michael J. McGivney with Charity, Unity, and Fraternity!
If you have not been to a meeting in a while, plan on attending this Thursday and reacquaint yourself with your brothers and what is currently being planned in your council. I hope to see you this week.
Patrick Esquibel, Grand Knight
