Message of the Faithful Navigator

Worthy Sir Knights and Ladies,

It is my honor to be taking over as Worthy Faithful Navigator for the upcoming Columbian year. Many thanks to our Worthy Faithful Admiral, Ed Dondero, for his years of service, and for all other Sir Knights who helped me prepare for this new responsibility.

For those who don’t know me, some brief introductions are in order. I grew up in San Diego, before moving up to the bay area in my twenties for college, then the east coast for law school. For the past ten years, I have been practicing constitutional law. Basically fighting back for the little guy when the government tries to push them around. What could be more American than that?!

My wife Melly and I have been married for a couple of years now (but together for about five), and have two beautiful daughters, Ellie and Scarlett. You will most often see them running around our get together dinners, causing trouble. On that note, they need some friends so the more kids you all want to bring, the better.

As for Assembly business, as I have shared with our Officers and Assembly, I have three primary goals for the upcoming year:
First, I have set a goal of recruiting sixteen new SKs during the upcoming year for our Assembly. While this may seem like an ambitious number, broken down it is only four new SKs per quarter. Which I think is an easily attainable goal. I am planning my own outreach efforts to councils within our Assembly, but it will also depend on your own efforts at the Council level. If there are Knights you know who are not yet part of the Fourth Degree,

It is each of our responsibilities to approach them and share with them the opportunities for service available through the Fourth Degree.
Second, I would like to see greater member participation at our events and programming. We have 193 SKs in our Assembly, and it would be great to see a larger number of brothers, and their families, at our events. To that end, WFC Nick Coppola and I have put together an event schedule for the entire year in advance, including planning several larger holiday themed events. Please consider helping, attending, and bringing your loved ones.

Lastly, I am a big believer in the color corps and honor guard portion of our activities and would like to see increased participation from our Assembly. I will be working with our Worthy Color Corps Commander on this issue, but suffice it to say, if you don’t have regalia and are interested in participating, we want to help you get suited up. Let us know. If you have regalia but are not receiving the call out emails, let us know. Or, if you have regalia but don’t regularly attend call outs, even being willing to come out to three or four a year in the east county area would be a huge boost to our participation.

That’s all for now. Looking forward to a wonderful year.

In Liberty:
Tim Snowball Faithful Navigator

Assembly get togethers are held on the second Friday of every month. 6:30pm Mass, followed by dinner, and an Assembly Business Meeting
