Pope Leo XIV has appointed Most Rev. Michael Pham, auxiliary bishop of San Diego and diocesan administrator, as the Bishop of San Diego.

Bishop Pham has served our diocese since his ordination in 1999 and has held several leadership posts since then. He was named auxiliary bishop in 2023, and, most recently was elected diocesan administrator.
