Council Meeting measures during the new Covid Delta/Omicron Variant surge
Worthy Brothers,
In an effort to support our continued ability to conduct in-person meetings, we will have complementary digital thermometer checks at the entrance of the DeMoor Room to ensure that we are taking precautions as recommended the CDC and California‘s Department of Health to reduce the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19.
Additionally, Bishop McElroy and the Catholic Diocese of San Diego and Fr. Devdas are encouraging all parishioners to wear a mask while indoors (even those fully vaccinated - as an act of charity). This is not mandatory but offered out of respect and in support of our brothers and their family members who may be immunocompromised.
We will keep doors open and space chairs at least 3 ft apart during our future meetings as mitigating measures. If you are symptomatic, please stay home and rest. We will attempt to have a Zoom link available (depending on wifi reliability) and conduct a hybrid meeting to support those not able to attend, but I would rather risk not meeting a quorum than risking someone’s health!
Thank you for your understanding on this matter and I look forward to seeing you all at the general business meeting August 19, 2021@7:00 pm.
Vivat Jesus!

Council Dues Policy Update; Attention all members
Worthy Brothers,
As a nonprofit charitable organization, the primary means of funding our operations are through the payment of annual dues. In a time of uncertainty on our ability to raise funds due to lingering COVID mitigation’s, honoring your commitment and paying your dues is more critical today more than it has ever been.
In accordance with council by-laws, members who are not current on their dues DO NOT have the right to attend council meetings OR vote on council issues.
This has been the standard for years but has been loosely enforced. It is time to honor our commitment to the council and regain good standing by paying any outstanding balances. Enforcement of this policy is effective immediately.
If you have had a financial hardship or illness that prevented you from having the ability to pay dues, please provide a short statement and justification to our Worthy Financial Secretary Gary Glenn for potential debt forgiveness, if qualified.
FS Gary Glenn/s email address is garyg@gaent.com
*Non -current members will not be able to attend our upcoming business meeting. Members shall have membership cards with them at all future meetings.
Thank you for all that you do for the council and the community!
Let’s get back on track and continue to make a difference!
