· Project should benefit the parish community
· Project should benefit many, not just one or two individuals
· Knights should get recognition to help with future fundraising or recruitment

2. Officers discuss and refine a possible proposal. The proposal must be written and submitted to the Grand Knight and Recorder prior to the business meeting.
3. All Knights present at a General Business Meeting hear and discuss the proposal after the written motion has been made and seconded.
4. Proposal may be modified and refined based on member input.
5. If a quorum is present, then a vote to go forward with the process of officially voting on the proposal is made. A minimum of fifty percent in favor of the motion must vote yes to continue the process.
6. The motion is published on the council website and shared (via email) with all the Knights.
7. The next General Business Meeting will have the motion discussed and voted up as long as a quorum is present. A two-thirds vote in favor of the motion is needed for the motion to pass.
